How fast can you learn automatic driving, I live in the UK but i want to learn quickly

u should have no probs driving an auto, it goes off at a hill with no probs & manauvering backwards is easy, just handle the gas-pedal with consideration! take some driving lessons with a professional instructor, that makes a good impession & go to the the test with the instructor, there r a few things, the inspector will want to see, just learn to observe those, like use the mirrors, use the hand-brake when standing etc, it is not so difficult. read he drivers instruction book!! be generally sensible, like always give preferene to public transport & take grear care about childrn leaving a bus & so forth, hat makes a good impression on the examinor! I did it like that & passed first time. observe the rules at a round about & the speed limits!

Many companies offer intensive courses that aim to get u from start to finish in about two weeks. They r usually residential (i.e. u have to go away for a week or two & stay where you're learning) & generally cost around £250-350 depending on which company u go with. You've also got ur additional tejory & driving test fees too. A company like AA or BSM will probably offer u the best chance of passing sooner, they will cater for a lot more ways of passing. Many independent & smaller companies might not be able to cater for ur needs as they wo not have automatic cars or the time resources to allow u to pass quickly. Your best bet is to phone either of these companies & see what they can offer you, u can also always try some of the larger driving schools near where u live & see if they can assist you. Good luck!

Driving an automatic car only takes away the necessity to use the conventional gearchange. If u pass ur test in an automatic car, then u r stuck with a licence confining u to them & u will have to take another test to upgrade to manual at a later stage. Be brave & go for the whole manual setup straight away.

I have driven both & have to say I enjoyed one just as much as the other. The automatic really comes into its own of u r stuck in a crawling queue for miles.

I have to drive an automatic. It is easy if you can drive a dodgem car you can drive an automatic BUT you still need time to learn what it is like to be on the road..there are all sorts of hazards out there. If you pass your test in an automatic you can not ever drive a manual car. If you can, pass your test in a manual then you can drive either type of car

You should be able to drive an automatic straight away!! I used to drive my dads Automatic when I was 13!! its like driving a big go cart!
