How to stop my dog whimpering with excitement when driving

One of my Chihuahuas used to do that as well. I stopped her by saying ''AWT!!'' each time and touching her or laying her down. She finally got the idea. It sure is annoying, I have to agree with you.

When my dog is happy then I am happy.
Unfortunately ,although he loves going out with me he gets car-sick, otherwise I would take him everywhere.
Just going for a walk sends him into ecstasies, its hard to get his lead on, he literally wriggles & giggles with joy. I only have to say the word 'walk' & he is rushing around in glee. He can also spell, so its no good saying w-a-l-k he understands that too. I've even tried using alternative words like 'stroll' & 'amble' but he soon learns those words as well, even French, 'marchez avec mois'' & he is at the door. It must be telepathy, no dog can be this clever!

Your cruel to leave your dog home because he whimpers with excitement when he goes for rides. When did the world become all about you?? Just think how he feels when you go out the door without him! Turn on your dam radio! Take him for a ride or give him to someone who cares about dogs.

A dog who likes to sit in a car? That is so amazing! Sometimes when dogs are in cars, they always like to wave their tails and put their paw on the owner is hand while driving. Well, you have to be careful if there is a dog in car. Well, taking your dog for a drive could be fun, but you can also take him for a walk or cycle with him by putting him in to the bicycle basket. my dog does this all the time, lol. i think if you just reach over and pet him once in awhile just to calm him down that might help. that always works with my dog.
